Shota Digmelashvili, one of the members of the People's Movement "Home to Europe", writes that he received information about the mobilization of party members in public services by the "Georgian Dream". He said they were likely to attack students at the Dedaena park.
Shota Digmelashvili writes that the more people there are at the meeting, the less risk of provocation there will be, so everyone is invited to the venue at 16:00.
"I have information that the Georgian Dream is mobilizing party members in public services to attack students at the Dedaena park. As you know, we will have a public meeting-discussion there at 4 o'clock today.
We have seen similar mobilization in the regions. The task of propaganda is to present the situation as if there is no national consensus on the issue of European integration and there are two different, opposing, equally strong sentiments. This is also discussed in the light of the "unraveling" campaign.
In short, as you know, "Home to Europe" acts with non-violent resistance tactics, therefore does not engage in performance on propaganda scenes, and therefore I call on the police to protect public discussion participants from pre-mobilized attackers.
And also, experience tells me that the more we are, the less risk there is of provocations, so we invite everyone to our peaceful discussion. If we do not protect students from oppression now, then we should not be surprised by their nihilism. Waiting for you at Dedaena Park at 4 p.m. See you soon", - Shota Digmelashvili writes.
