Georgian Dream MP Mikheil Sarjveladze says he sees no need to convene an extraordinary session. According to him, the opposition is trying to hide its own mistake.
"I personally think that there is no formal or substantial reason for holding an extraordinary session. Today the issues, which make up 12 points, really need a committee or analytical work in order to prepare the issues to be submitted to the plenary session and I do not think that any of the issues to be submitted to the plenary session, to be ready, the issue also needs consultation. We just see an attempt of a certain part of the opposition to hide their mistake in separating from the working process, which the government has proposed," Mikheil Sarjveladze said.
Giorgi Botkoveli, an MP from the United National Movement, suggests that the dream will find a reason to sabotage the extraordinary session.
"They will think of a reason and say there won't be a session tomorrow or they won't create a quorum for us, or they will close the doors and not let us in, as it happened at the previous extraordinary session. Everything can be expected from the government," said Giorgi Botkoveli.
For your information, President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili has called an extraordinary Parliament session. The session is to be held tomorrow, July 19.
