Khabeishvili called on companies to cease the import of sanctioned Russian oil into Georgia

Levan Khabeishvili, a member of the United National Movement, says that certain businessmen are importing Russian oil into Georgia with the help of the government. As Khabeishvili says, Russia has been at the top of the list for oil shipments to Georgia for the past five months:

"The Georgian government and specific businesses have filled Georgia's ports and terminals with bloody Russian oil. Meanwhile, over the past 5 months, Russia has unfortunately come out on top among the suppliers, which of course was not the case before. Meanwhile, since the beginning of the genocide in Ukraine, Georgian authorities and operators have brought in $124 million worth of Russian oil," Khabeishvili said.

In addition, Khabeishvili named three companies importing Russian oil into the country. Among them: Visolgroup, Aragvi Impex and Lukoil. Khabeishvili noted that the number of companies is much larger, although he did not disclose their names at this stage:

"We are giving these three companies and the other ten companies a few days to speak publicly and say that they will cease the buying of sanctioned Russian oil and financing of the Ukrainian genocide. Otherwise we will have to do the same thing to Pkhakadze, the management of Aragvi Impex - father and son Kakabadzes, Lukoil and dozens of other companies," said Levan Khabeishvili.
